India Under 19 Cricket team won the Junior Asian title record 8th time after beating Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in the final played at ICC Cricket Academy Dubai.
Sri Lanka won the toss and choose to bat first, They become under pressure from start of the inning as lost 2 wickets in first 10.3 overs while total was only 15. The combination of left arm and right spinner for Sri Lanka become hell in the final as both shared five wickets in total.
Indian bowlers domination continue till the rain came to save the Sri Lanka who scored only 106 runs in 38 overs but fate was not in their favor.
The D/L method applied on the match and revised target for the India was 102 runs in 32 overs and they lost early wicket on 8 in 5th over. The first five overs domination of Sri Lank was the only charm of this match for Lankan spectators and after that they struggled hard to get another wicket but failed. India scored 104 runs in 21.3 overs and won the match by nine wickets. India opener Angrish Raghuvanshi unbeaten 56 was enough for him to get man of the final match award and Asian Under 19 Cup to the team.
