On the third day of Boxing day test match at Melbourne Cricket stadium, Australia not only won the boxing day test match but also won the series by 3-0 dominance as home side. England still have chances in next two test matches to reduce the Ashes defeat margin.

Boxing day test match third day at Melbourne Cricket Stadium was an important day for the Victorians for two reasons, Scot Boland playing his debut test on his home ground, and the second reason, He is first from Victoria selected in Australian Cricket team as an Indigenous, before him from New South Wales an Aboriginal Jason Gillespie was selected and he played his last match 15 years ago.

English Bowler James Anderson and player celebrating wicket, English Team all out 68 and lost Melbourne test and Ashes 3-0

There is only three Indigenous players have won Test caps for Australia before Boland, these are Gillespie (NSW), Faith Thomas (South Australian Women Cricketer) and Ashleigh Gardner (NSW women Cricketer).

Six feet and two inches tall Scot Bold was looking much dangerous who had bowled only 24 deliveries in total on day three but in actual I will consider only 18 because out of four overs one was maiden. He got 6 wickets including Haseeb Ahmad, Joe Root, Jack Leach, Jonny Bairstow, Mark Wood, and Ollie Robinson in Melbourne debut test match’s second inning at the age of 32 years and 262 days. He was the man who’s bowling caused England Cricket team folded on 68 which is the 9th lowest total of English team against Australia. The another History of this test match created for Australia with an inning total of 267 which is the Cricket Century’s lowest total for any team who win the test match with an innings margin.

Man of the Match Mullagh Medal Scot Bold

Scot Bold who was awarded with Mullagh Medal on his heroic performance 7 in total in the test. He was so excited after winning this award and thanked the supporters around the stadium who was cheering for him through out his bowling. “Coming here today, though we had a good chance. found out on Christmas Evening, told some family and friends. Thought it was going to be really tough, a big step up. Hoping to make a little bit of an impact. Like to thank the crowed for all the support, really appreciate it. there were about 17 of us who went away a few years to commemorate the 1868 tour, very proud to win this award.” Now only one bowler in men’s test cricket history who conceded fewer than him for six or more wickets in an inning and that is Jermaine Lawson, 3 runs against Bangladesh in 2002.

English Captain Joe Root

Its (Covid) not ideal a lot of hard work to do, I though the way we went about our cricket on the field was excellent. We put them under pressure and were very much in the test match. We have dot to do things for longer, been small pockets but nowhere near long enough. We know the areas we need to improve on. We have to stay strong and look at the next two games to take something from the tour”.

Australian Captain Pat Cummins

Ashes winning captain said I am so proud of group as we are awesome from few weeks. I am so happy for scot at front of home crowed excitement. I think we have been relentless. The bowlers have owned that good area. Some big partnerships, they have earned the right to bat long. They have been really brave and taken on the game. Michael Neser, really disappointed he did not get the chance, but selectors have brave and bold decision and its a great sign of the strength for the Australian Cricket. We were really confident scotty would do a great job. May be not 6 or 7, Any Ashes series is when you try and make a mark on your test career. Last series was 4-0, one before that was 5-0, so a chance to start cementing our identity.

any ashes series 4-0 and 5-0 we have chance to repeat sot of things in next two games.

Australian Coach Justin Langer

We played one of the best test cricket from last few days, after so many years these achievements are amazing, It was unfortunate happening to Tim and than Pat Cummins lead the team in an amazing way. Six Months ago we were different and its proud moment for all of us, its like dream for me and in test cricket, Ashes with 3-0 right after the T20 World Cup, I am enjoying the situation and thinking nothing else.
