Pakistan Cricket team is always unpredictable and its proved by the players themselves in each match with england. The Third test at Edgbaston was the golden chance for the Green team to took the lead over the Host but the Toss win also not save them because of poor fielding and bad performance form the Hafeez and Younas Khan.
The opener Hafeez was fully failed in all the three tests until now other than the one performance of 40 runs at opening test of four matches test series. Hafeez have to took responsibility of continue confidence in him by the management instead of one after one failure but he did not and 0and 2 of his both the innings brought trouble in the series as well.
The other batsman is the man who had played 100 test matches and brilliant record in perfect suitable Asian conditions but he was only dancing in all the three test matches and in the Edgbaston there is golden time for him to prove as the best experienced player of the country to stay at least twenty overs but unfortunately he did not stay even for 20 balls.
Captain Misbah ul Haq and his team was very happy and showed their celebrations with press ups but after Lord’s time is over and converted towards the English team who even managed the fourth inning of both the Edgbaston and Old Trafford.
Sami Aslam who was the best player in the year 2005 of pakistan’s first class and was the captain of Pakistan Cricket team under 19 world cup in Australia and UAE proved his selection right for the third test and made fifties in the both the innings with the vital partnerships with ODI captain Azhar Ali.
Azhar Ali who scored 139 in the first inning also playing with confidence in the 2nd inning but he misjudged the delivery of Moeen Ali and catch out in hand of A Cook. The remaining all the batsman are even not able to discuss in this heavy article but the bowling of Unfit for 20 overs in a day Sohail khan was impressive in the first inning in which he managed the fiver but in the 2nd innings he was looking out of pace and fitness which was the real problem for misbah.
The 3rd test result, top and middle order complete failure is giving the edge to the team management to think about exclusion of Younas and Hafeez, may be exit of Younas khan will be difficult but no doubt in it that Muhammad Iftikhar will open the fourth test at Oval. Iftikhar also has the edge to meet the need of fifth bowler in the test match as he was opted by the Selection committee as the batting all-rounder.
