The Critics of Pakistan Cricket team including myself feel odd as Green Team behaved like professionals in thinking and in practical work on the ground.
Everybody know and say all the time that Pakistan is un-predictable and always showed themselves as dark horses, and again they did same against ICC no 1 team South Africa in their 2nd pool match of ICC Champions Trophy at Edgbaston Birmingham. This is the same ground and same conditions as the match effected by rain and Pakistan won on DL method but the only difference was its day and night match.
No doubt Pakistan cricket team looks different in the match against South Africa and it was against the all odds set by the Pundits and Gurus of the Cricket World.
Sarfaraz lost the toss and AB chose to bat first on spin helping wicket. The match was against the set odds because South Africa has the best bowlers in their side and the best batting side as well. Rabada ICC rank no 1, Imran Tahir ICC rank no2, similarly Amla, De cock, Duplessi, and AB himself are the best cricketing stars but the day was set to the green boys as they performed very well in bowling and fielding (which they never be even average).
Sarfaraz Ahmad who was shaky and did bad decision of Imad Waseem use and Hafeez and Malik not to use properly against India has learned and use Hafeez against SA with better planning but the major role in victory was the Rain.

Captain did a press conference after the match and the sentence he used to elaborate himself most astonishing was “I am new and I am learner please support me my critics” while a journalist asked about himself.
Sarfaraz Ahmad as captain in last five ODI’s 15, 5, 24, 26, 20 (90 runs with the average of 18). He has considered by most of the analyst as strike rotator and busy man when on crease but he never hit six in any of his inning in last 7 overs of the match as per stats, it mean he need to improve in this area as well because now he is the captain of the Pakistan Cricket team.
Pakistan lost to India and Sarfaraz claimed it was due to rain because we cannot field and bowled properly but the winning against SA he forgot the rain benefit and credited team bowling and fielding
Pakistan pace bowler Hassan was impressive again against SA and took three wickets and declared man of the match while Junaid and immad Waseem took two each, Captain praised him and other bowlers.
“Yesterday meetings made the things good, there were no shouting and tension in the meeting, it was smooth and normal as we discussed our week points found against India and coach told us not to repeat and fortunately we did it this time and hopefully will continue in the next match against Sri Lanka, Sarfaraz said.
Pakistan captain was lamented his team fielding and DL method accuracy with the run rate as well but denied about to plan Zaman as permanent opener and said its pre mature to consider like this.
“Our planning worked in this match which was failed against India, we used both full time spinners Immad and Shadab as well as malik and Hafeez accordingly and whereas the concerns of opening players, I think Zaman is good because I knew him from Club cricket we both played in same club at Karachi once upon a time but it’s premature to consider him permanent opener so let see in future yes
Azhar Ali is good player but he need to stay longer like in this match need with Fakhar” he said.
He also thanked the crowed who support well against South Africa and his team effort to understand the DL method for better run rate and hope to win against Sri Lanka as well as to boost the run rate.
On The other hand South Africa team management claimed it was the pitch who support Pakistan because it’s the third game on the same pitch and Pakistan Took the Advantage of the condition.
AB Devilliars is the best Cricketer but unfortunately its first time happened to him to left the crease on Duck even in his ODI career, but the management said he is still an excellent and his hamstring and niggle is dealing well by the Medical team.
