Muhammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten century, reaching 104 in the final moments of the match.
Babar Azam was named Player of the Match for his score of 196, while Nathan Lyon received the Bowler of the Match award. Rizwan was recognized for his all-round performance, and Usman Khawaja was hailed as the Reliable Batsman of the Match.
Babar Azam was quite happy after the good result for Pakistan as match was ended at draw, and he said that they he never thought of losing the match at any point or win the match.
” We played well, Abdullah Shafique and Rizwan both were very good and the bowling from Australia also very nice, but the thing is this we never thought about losing or win the test match just one plan that we have to save the match and we did it. I dedicate my inning to my family and hope for the best for the next match at Lahore. We played up to the level and this is the beauty of the test cricket” Babar said in post match press conference
On a question about the reverse swing on the fifth day Babar replied with exclamation of sigh that the wicket was behaving good but we got out in first inning and well managed in the second inning.
“There is reverse swing in the wicket and it was supporting equally even on the last moments, therefore Credit goes to all batsmen who played well and defend well to save the match” Babar Azam Concluded on Australian Bowling and Pitch behavior.
