Melbourne Test Hero Scott Boland also debut in ICC Test Players Ranking, Pat Cummins still on Top, Labuschagne No.1 in Batsmen

Australian Test Debutant Scot Boland on his marvelous performance in Melbourne Test makes his debut in ICC Test players Ranking with 271 points on 74th position. Boland made history with an incredible six-wicket performance that secured victory for his team on the third day of the third Ashes test in Melbourne on Tuesday. The 32-year-old Victoria pacer finished with outstanding innings figures of 6/7 in four overs.

Boland’s feat also included matching the record for the fastest five-wicket haul in Tests, achieved in 19 balls, a record shared by England’s Stuart Broad in the 2015 Ashes and Australia’s Ernie Toshack in 1947. He concluded with a seven-wicket haul in the match, contributing significantly to Australia’s commanding innings and 14-run victory. Meanwhile, Pat Cummins maintained a rating above 900 points after claiming three early wickets in England’s first innings. Notably, England’s James Anderson improved his Ashes average in Australia to surpass his average against Australia in England.  His figures of 4/33 in 23 overs gained him three places to 5th.In the batter’s category, Marnus Labuschagne continues to hold the top spot whilst, Steve Smith has dropped a place to fourth, his lowest position since December 2015.In the all-rounders list, Mitchell Starc nudged ahead of Ben Stokes into fifth place.

Pakistan’s Captain Babar Azam has no change in his position with 750 points on number 9 in the list which has no other Pakistani batsmen. Pakistan Pacer Shaheen Afridi is at number 3 with 822 points ahead of Tim Southee who has 814 points and 4th position. All rounders lead holding by West Indian Jason Holder and no Pakistani included in this list.
