< 1 minute read

The Pakistan Cricket Board and all six HBL PSL franchises have reached an agreement to allow each team to select two additional players in the Supplementary Category for the HBL Pakistan Super League 2022, scheduled to take place from January 27 to February 27.

While each team can pick one foreign player, this decision creates opportunities for local emerging cricketers to participate in franchise cricket, aiding in their growth and development. Additionally, it offers teams extra players in case of unforeseen circumstances.

PICK Rotation for two additional Players

The teams will pick additional players in the Replacement Player Draft, which is expected to take place through a virtual session on 7 January 2022.

Karachi Kings will have the initial opportunity to select the first additional player, with Lahore Qalandars following, then Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi. This order has been decided through a random draw.

The second picks will be as follows in reverse order format: Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, and Karachi Kings.
