ICC WT20 shifting plan from India to UAE and Oman

The well learned source from BCCI confirming about the planning of ICC WT20 2021 as host to conduct in UAE and Oman because of Present worst Covid Situation in India, the Indian Cricket board is ready for the stage was conduct of mega event. The stage one will consists of qualifying round from which four teams will qualify out of eight. These eight teams consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Netherland, Namibia Papua New Guinea, will play 12 matches while split into two groups. The topper two team of each group will join Super 12’s. These 12 teams will play super 12 and final round as against split into groups six in each. The super 12 round will consists of 30 matches in total.

Therefore the mega event will consists of total 42 matches and played in UAE and Oman, the final schedule will approve ICC on the request of BCCI. The ICC World T20, 2021 was initially announced to held in October/November in India, But now BCCI planning to host this event in UAE and Oman from October 17 to November 14 (according Cricinfo Writer Nagraj Gollapudi)
